END AND BEGIN WITH GRACE

REVEL IN THE GOOD

As the year comes to an end, it is natural to start wondering if you got enough done or accomplished all the goals you had for the year. You might find yourself asking things like, “Did I eat healthy enough, did I drink enough water, etc.”

Reflecting on your year can be good, but wouldn’t it be great if when any self-doubt or negativity set in, you could instead immediately recall all the good - not revel in all the coulda-woulda-shoulda scenarios?

Like a lot of people, we didn’t cross off every goal we had on our To-Do for the year and you know, that has to be okay - for all of us. Celebrate even your SMALLEST wins, it absolutely keeps you moving forward.

Gratitude is a tool we use often at LEISURE & JOIE and it is a habit we practice daily. It is important that we do it, especially when it seems a difficult task.

show yourself grace

Carry the good parts of 2022 with you. Hang on to your wonderful memories and especially the good FEELINGS, releasing anything that was not good for you.

Only you know what stays and what goes. It takes a lot to be truly honest with yourself about what you allow and what you release. Our hope for us all is that we can be brave enough to make those, at times, hard choices and do so through the lens of self-love, self-respect and grace.

Some of our favorite words are edit, curate, create. These words make it so it is up to you to calibrate and recalibrate until you are at peace with what is. As humans, we understand we can’t ever be satisfied - things could always be better, worse, different. The key is knowing that it is within our power to change ourselves and, therefore, circumstances as we strive toward that ideal of what peace is and feels like in our lives.

IT’S NOT ALWAYS THAT WE NEED TO DO MORE BUT RATHER THAT WE NEED TO FOCUS ON LESS.
— NATHAN W. MORRIS, AUTHOR & FINANCIAL EXPERT

As we head toward a new, hopefully brighter, more fruitful year, may we all have a renewed sense of adventure, allowing for exciting new possibilities.

If you’re committing to drinking less, exercising more, eating well, prioritizing your self-care, practicing new habits, improving your sleep, even just doing something entirely new to you - do it. Do your best to stick to it and support yourself the way you would a friend.

Think of it less as making a resolution and more like setting an intention.

ROMANTICIZE YOUR LIFE

Routines and rituals are extremely helpful in everyday life, but definitely go with the flow when you falter and give yourself space to create and have new experiences in 2023.

We are grateful to have you as part of our growing community and wish you the happiest Holiday Season and New Year possible. It is our 6 month anniversary here at LEISURE & JOIE tomorrow and we’re so grateful for the support we have received so far.

Be proud of all you’ve done and that you’ve made it through another year. Commit to improving your quality of life in every way and… elevate your daily experience.

Wishing you all the best, especially peace, love and prosperity as we all look forward to the magic 2023 will bring!
